    We All Have Choices

Another way to measure market potential is though consumer choice simulations.

This next section is a demonstration of an online conjoint survey.  Conjoint is a method of examining mutiple features of a product or service under simulated real world conditions.

Respondents are presented with a series of choices composed of different sets of features and often different prices.  Conjoint analysis provides a measure of the value of each feature and price point based on the choices made.

Conjoint analysis is very useful for measuring price sensitivity, menu design, product and packaging design, advertising and marketing promotion planning.

In the next few pages we will take you through a shortened demonstration of an online conjoint task.

Imagine you are dining at a casual restaurant. On the following pages you will see a selection of menu choices. For each selection, please select the combination you would most likely order.
